Digital Negatives- Do you know what’s on your Disc?

Color Correction! Do you color correct your photographs? If your asking “what’s that” or “how do you do that” you may not be aware of just how important that is to your digital negatives!
Yes I said Digital Negatives Smile  So you get a friend to shoot your wedding and they put all your images on Disc just like we do Smile So far so good… well so far so good if they caught all the right moments, framed and composed your images properly and even better if they had off camera lighting to capture the best of you & your soul mate without all the harsh shadows of an on camera flash!
However… are those images that you have on Disc now in a format that has been color corrected, blemish removal such as dust or heaven forbid a pimple or two been tended to? Are they cropped in a fashion that allows you to use them or will you need to do some editing of your own?
The Digital Negative is the image you get on the disc – what format are you getting the negatives in? Maximized or just out of the camera? Everything in the days of film went to the lab to be processed and developed. Digital goes into the computer lab and is processed by the photographer of someone sub-contracted to process them. It is so very important to get those images in the correct format so you can print them and get the absolute best out of your photographs!

Wedding Packages?

Vanessa is brilliant!

We have always had a variety of photography packages for our wedding couples to choose from. They are intended to help them chose their photography coverage. There are so many possible combinations of albums, coverage hours, and services it sometimes felt like we were pushing our couples towards an existing package.

So…what was Vanessa’s brilliant idea?

The Foreverly Wedding Photography Planning Calculator!

New for 2012 - Vanessa developed this easy to use, self explanatory, custom calculator. It gives our couples the control to plan their photography coverage. You plan the length of the coverage, the type and size of the album and how many photographers to cover the day. Input that information and it will give you the cost of the wedding photography coverage you want.

We are always available to help you tweak package if need be to further maximize your budget.

Worcester

Yesterday I had a special treat for lunch when I met with our good friend and fellow photographer Michelle Morris in Worcester. Michelle is an accomplished portrait photographer and is a long time friend of Vanessa. Michelle and Vanessa were the hugely popular Morris & Tombs Photography.
Michelle took me into Worcester and introduced me to Katherine Bujanszki owner of Beautiful Flowers  (www.beautifulflowersbykb.co.uk  ) The shop is located on New Street and is  full of fresh flowers, beautiful arrangements and the perfume of flowers is soothing and refreshing. Katherine did all the floral arrangements for Michelle's wedding and after meeting her and having a look around her shop I completely understand why!
Next Michelle took me to meet Anja Potze owner of Anja Potze Fine Jewellery LTD ( www.anjapotze.com). Anja offers custom pieces that are works of art. Beautifully crafted rings, bracelets, ear rings and necklaces! Her shop is quiet intimate with the displays lit perfectly so as to appreciate the beauty of her work and is  located on Friar Street.
As Vanessa and I establish Foreverly Photography here in the UK we are meeting new people and renewing old friendships. We are firm believers that personal recommendations are the one thing that makes finding wedding vendors, or vendors of any kind really, much easier. Trusting the details of a wedding to someone you know little to nothing about is very stressful. We think by sharing and introducing our clients to our trusted vendors we can help reduce the stress. We won't recommend anyone we wouldn't use ourselves. We hope that gives our clients a good starting place from which to work. We happily and quite confidently recommend Anja, Kate and of course Michelle!
Big Thanks to Michelle ( www.michellemorris.co.uk ) Worcester Portrait Photographer  for sharing these two wonderful businesses with us and for being such a good friend.

Apple Day!! Worcestershire style.

My Darling Dad used to say Worcestershire was 'God's country'. Apple Day was a real Autumn treat. The apple juice from Pershore College was heaven in a glass...especially the apple and blackcurrent..

Hope these images tell the story of a wonderful day of heady scents and the wonderful glow of the last warm sunshine of the year.
